    Second largest breed next to the Maine Coon

    Originated in Siberia, Russia, more than 1000 years ago

    One of the healthiest and hardiest cats bred today

    Breed is known to be hypoallergenic

    Has been known to come out and greet visitors to the house

    They have a triple purr, unlike other breeds and make a chirping sound when they come to greet you

    Malts occasionally

    A wide toothcomb and natural bristle brush are best for grooming, need to be combed daily

    Remember to trim claws

    Should not be outside on a regular basis

    Lifespan 15-20 years

    Males are 7-8kg, Females are 5-6 kg
